There was a big yet bittersweet announcement made on the Spirit Mornings show recently regarding Bruce McGregor, co-host of the award-winning local morning show. In case you missed it, you can listen to the full audio below.

Many of you have come to know Bruce through his impressive years in the broadcasting industry and ministry work. Even if you have not had the chance to meet the very tall radio veteran, you’ve probably grown accustomed to starting your weekday morning out with his deep voice and wise words on Spirit Mornings.

If you’d like to share a message with Bruce about how he’s impacted your radio listening or share heartfelt farewell words, you can do so below. Your messages will be shared with Bruce, and we may even read some on air during his final Spirit Mornings episodes!

Bruce began his career at Spirit Catholic Radio in 2004 as Program Director. His love for the Lord, giving back to others, and expertise in the radio industry helped propel Spirit Catholic Radio forward. In May of 2017, Bruce was diagnosed with late-onset Parkinson’s disease. On January 24th, with Jen Brown, his Spirit Mornings co-host of 12 years, and Kris, his wife, at his side in the studio, Bruce announced to the listeners that his last Spirit Mornings broadcast would be Friday, February 21st.

“It [Parkinson’s] is one of those things that has kind of attached itself to me and I’m working through it and working with it. Today we wanted to talk about it because the implication is, I’ll be stepping down from the Morning Show.” – Bruce McGregor
