Beginning Monday, July 24, Spirit Catholic Radio listeners will get to enjoy some new programs and a revamped Spirit Mornings show!
We obtained feedback from thousands of listeners through various programming and communication surveys during the past year. In response to the comments and suggestions, we are bringing you new programs never before heard on Spirit Catholic Radio and revising a few current programs already in the programming lineup.
Our revamped Spirit Mornings program will now begin at 7 a.m. Monday-Friday and end at 9 a.m.
Feedback received about our weekday morning show was overwhelmingly positive, with a common theme from listeners centered around the feeling that you know Bruce & Jen because of how personable and relatable they are. A few current segments will be restructured and new segments will be introduced to the program.
New programs to the Spirit Catholic Radio line-up include:
– Cat in the Cradle – Catechesis for Cradle Catholics | Wed & Sun 11 a.m. | Begins July 26
Many of us who grew up cradle Catholics need a refresher course from time to time in regards to the teachings of our Faith, why we believe what we believe, and just how much God really loves us. Join Damian Montez and Fr. Jeffrey Loseke (heard every Tuesday on our Spirit Mornings’ Ask-a-Priest segment) as they dive into everyday Catholic topics. Hear a replay of Wednesday’s episode each Sunday at 11 a.m.
– Catholic Answers Focus | Wed 11:30 a.m. | Begins July 26
This program, created by Catholic Answers, helps busy Catholics explain and defend the Faith. Hosted by Cy Kellett and featuring a variety of guest experts, this weekly program focuses on a different topic each week. “There is going to be something for everyone with this program, and while it’s not a live call-in show format that our listeners may be familiar with for Catholic Answers Live, I think there will be a lot to learn with the topics apologists have selected for upcoming episodes.” said Jeb Eischeid, Spirit Catholic Radio’s Program Director.
– Sunday Catholic Word | Sat 6 a.m. & Sun 11:30 a.m.| Begins July 29
If you’re not a Bible scholar, the full meaning of the Sunday Mass readings can be tough to comprehend. That’s why apologist Karlo Broussard created the Sunday Catholic Word. As he unpacks the Scripture each week, he’ll explain God’s word through clear reasoning so listeners can be better equipped to understand and defend the Faith.
– Catholics Coast to Coast | Sun 6 a.m. | Begins July 30
Hear a variety of Catholic topics from across America produced by EWTN’s Ace McKay. According to Jeb Eischeid, “This energetic program is going to offer our listeners fresh content that they may not have heard before as the host and guests for that week will be discussing matters Catholics are challenged with across this vast country.”
Additional program changes to note include:
- Fire on the Earth will now air Monday-Friday at 6:45 a.m.
- More 2 Life will now air Monday-Friday at 9 a.m.
- Faith and Family Finance (with the Knights of Columbus) will now air 6:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on Saturdays
- Why It Matters will now air 5:30 p.m. on Sundays
- Seeking Truth will now air 12:30 p.m. on Sundays
- Making It Personal will now air 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays
- Register Radio will now air 5 p.m. on Sundays
