Join the Polish Heritage Society of Nebraska on Friday, November 9 for their annual “Bigos and Beer” fundraiser, an informative and entertaining sampling of six Polish and Eastern European style brews and a traditional Polish meal accompanied by festive drinking songs and toasts of “na zdrowie!” (“to your health!”) The event will be held at the Polish Home/Belvedere Hall, 201 East 1st Street, Papillion. Doors open at 6pm; program begins at 6:30pm. Polish dinner includes: bigos (Polish hunter’s stew), pierogi, Polish sausage, dessert. Soda will be available for non-drinkers, cash bar available. $25 per person admission for this over-21 event. Proceeds to the Polish Heritage Society’s St. John Paul II Scholarship Fund, benefiting students of Polish ancestry who will begin Catholic high school in the fall of 2019.
