The non-profit Coalition on Human Trafficking announced two events it’s organizing this month to heighten awareness of human trafficking.
The mission of the Coalition on Human Trafficking is to eliminate human trafficking through awareness and education. With community-based collaboration, the group provides information to mobilize people to realize, recognize, and respond to signs of human trafficking.

An Evening of Celebration, will be held on January 24, from 5:00pm – 6:45pm at the Marian High School Performing Arts Center located at 7400 Military Avenue in Omaha. White wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5:00 – 5:45, with the program starting promptly at 5:45. The Coalition will share the work that was completed over the past year, honor Coalition volunteer, Stephen Patrick O’Meara for his dedication to the organization and new educational videos will be premiered. These videos were sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy West Midwest Community and Rotary.
Tickets are $20 each and must be reserved by January 18. The Sisters of Mercy, Rotarians and their guests are welcomed to attend at no charge, but everyone is asked to register at notrafficking.org.
