Joyful Mysteries Art Contest Winners!

Posted 01.04.24 in Spirit News

Wow! Not only did we have over 2,700 submissions for the Joyful Mysteries Art Contest, but there were such talented and thoughtful entries. Our judges really enjoyed the time taken to depict the Presentation at the Temple, and the Finding At The Temple, and the emotion on Mary and Elizabeth’s faces in The Visitation made them smile. And new this year, the winning “Rosary” art will be featured in our “How to Pray the Rosary” packets handed out throughout the year! Our judges narrowed the entries down to 12 winners and runner ups and these submissions will be turned into prayer cards shared with Catholic school students across our listening area and on display at Spirit Catholic Radio events.

Each grade range could choose to depict one of two mysteries selected for their category. There was a winner for each mystery (6 mysteries including “Rosary” as a mystery) CONGRATULATIONS!!

We appreciate those RE Classes and Art Teachers who worked this art contest into their class curriculum. The next art contest will take place at the same time next year (August-December 2024).

And, because there were so many incredibly talented submissions, we just had to share them for all to enjoy as well! Click below to browse through the special “art museum”.
