Jen and Bruce had the chance to visit with Dr. Louis Safranek, MD, PhD this morning on Spirit Mornings regarding COVID-19 treatment updates and his suggestions for reducing the spread and impact of the virus.
From Dr. Safranek, “Covid is still with us and continues to present a threat, especially to seniors. We can continue measures to slow or prevent the spread of Covid. If someone comes down with symptoms, they should get tested right away. Dr. Safranek is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and did training in Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. He taught for a number of years at Creighton Medical School and the University of Nebraska Medical School and has now been in private practice, specializing in the treatment of infectious diseases for over 20 years. He has treated dozens of Covid patients over the past year, both outpatients and inpatients.
