It’s time to SAVE THE DATE! We’re excited to announce the Bishops’ Pro-Life Banquet & Conference – “I Fear Nothing”: Pro-Life Evangelization in a Modern Age. The event will take place on Nov. 22nd and 23rd in Lincoln. Mark your calendars!

In both our culture and government, we’ve been tirelessly advocating for the protection and respect of all human life, especially for mothers and preborn children. With abortion taking center stage on the ballot for Nebraskans this November, the future of our state is uncertain.

As we consider this and other challenges in our modern age, it’s easy to be overcome by fear. This is why we are adopting St. Joan of Arc as our patroness for this year’s banquet and conference. Her spirit and example are a true model for how we can face the challenges in front of us as we cultivate a culture of life. We want her words ever on our minds and hearts: “I fear nothing, for God is with me.”

As this year’s banquet and conference will be the first major pro-life event after the vote on the abortion-related ballot initiatives in November, we are especially excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker and a favorite of ours at the NCC, Greg Schleppenbach.

Greg served the Nebraska Catholic Conference and faithfully led our pro-life efforts for 25 years. He now serves as the Executive Director for The Culture Project. Greg has played an incredible role in shaping the pro-life landscape in Nebraska. We’re excited for Greg’s return to Nebraska, and for the wisdom he will share with us this year!

This year’s pro-life banquet and conference will be a chance for a deeper commitment to our pro-life battles ahead and to be better formed to evangelize others in our modern age, so that we can change laws and save lives in our state.
