On July 17 we begin the Nine Day Novena to St. Anne/Ann/Anna, mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus Christ. The Feast of St. Anne and her husband St. Joachim is celebrated on July 26. St. Ann is the patron of childless couples, homemakers and grandparents. She is invoked for safe and healthy childbirth and against sterility. This is the 100th Anniversary of the solemn Novena to St. Anne. The relic will be present each day. St. Anne Novena will begin Wednesday July 17-Friday July 26. The feast day of Saints Joachim and Anne is celebrated on July 26. Novena prayers will be said after the 6:30 AM Mass each day and after the weekend Masses 5 PM Saturday and 9AM Sunday at Ss. Peter and Paul Church. We will include the Novena prayers in the bulletin the week of July 14 for those who would like to say the novena at home or bring your prayer sheet to church to use at Mass.
