National Friends Of Poor Walk/Run - Beatrice (8:00 am - 11:00 am)

The Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run began as a national program with the purpose of providing local Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Conferences and Councils the additional funds to help support their special works projects.

Today, that philosophy continues, with Conferences and Councils using the funds from this event to help local people living in poverty.

Please join the St. Joseph's Conference of SVdP in helping raise much needed funds to serve the less fortunate and suffering.

100% of the proceeds from the walk are used to assist those we serve in Beatrice and those in the surrounding communities.

This is an invitation to open your heart to the love of God on a short term mission trip!

The Archdiocese of Omaha under the leadership of Father Damian Zuerlein began a mission project in 2003.  Ixim:  Spirit of Solidarity is a sister-diocese or twinning relationship between the Archdiocese of Omaha and the Diocese of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Thirteen groups of volunteer missionaries have traveled from Omaha to Guatemala and worked side by side with the Guatemalan people to improve their living conditions and grow together in faith. This is your opportunity to personally experience this beautiful relationship of faith and solidarity.

The fourteenth trip is being planned for summer 2017!

If you would like to learn more about the mission of Ixim or to consider joining this upcoming mission trip to Guatemala, please attend one of the information meetings:
