Living With The Church Retreat - Schuyler (7:30 pm - 7:30 pm)

Living with the Church

April 29 – May 1, 2016

The Church is more than the organization we see. Her very mystery is reflected in images, for example, the “body of Christ”, “the people of God”. Where is my place in the church? How can we “feel with the Church” (sentire cum ecclesia), as St. Ignatius recommends?  In this retreat we address the blessings we have received through the Church as well as the struggles we have been challenged with.

Father Mauritius Wilde, OSB, Ph.D. (see Feb. 5-7)

Archdiocesan Pilgrimage For The Jubilee Of Mercy (8:45 am - 2:45 pm)

Our archdiocesan pilgrimage in this Jubilee of Mercy is a simple journey taking only part of a day, but it offers great spiritual gifts to those who respond with sincerity of heart. Passing through the holy door is a truly worthy goal in this Jubilee year. We are invited to know what pilgrims have always known – “The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned,” (Ps 34:22).

Parish Delegation

We welcome all parishes to organize a delegation for the Jubilee of Mercy Pilgrimage. The sizes of parish delegations will vary based upon circumstances and pastoral discretion. Whether a carload or busload, we recommend that each parish delegation travel together to the Cathedral.

Pilgrims in parish delegations carry not only their personal intentions but those of their fellow parishioners whom they represent. The last part of the trip, approaching the Holy Door at St. Cecilia’s Cathedral, will be on foot.

Masses will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. (in Spanish). To allow sufficient time, delegations of pilgrims should plan to arrive 45 minutes prior to the start of the chosen Mass.

RSVP FOR YOUR DELEGATION

Individual Participation

The faithful are encouraged to participate fully in the Jubilee of Mercy and in this pilgrimage. We invite all interested parishioners to contact your pastor or designated parish representative to register as part of your parish delegation. If you are unable to join a delegation, please register as an individual or family participant at the link below.

RSVP AS A FAMILY OR INDIVIDUAL
