Jolene Jefferies  |  Outreach Associate – Omaha and Iowa

Jolene Jefferies serves as an Outreach Associate for Spirit Catholic Radio covering the Omaha Archdiocese and the western half of the Des Moines Diocese. She was raised Catholic while growing up in rural Nebraska on a farm as the sixth of seven children. Upon high school graduation, Jolene was gifted with two concurrent kinds of malignant cancers and six months later, permanent infertility due to intense chemo and total body radiation. This set Jolene on an unintentional, but successful, corporate career path. In the midst of working full-time, Jolene was determined to attend college and after 11 years of chipping away, she graduated debt-free as she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During this time, Jolene entered into what would be an unsuccessful marriage and then fell away from Catholicism. She later met and married Bruce in 2001 and became a stepmother of two adult children, and today they have five grandchildren. After annulments, Bruce joined the Catholic Church and their marriage was blessed by Fr. Mike Grewe in 2012.  Upon 30 years of corporate experience, Jolene’s heart found her desiring to serve in an apostolate for Christ.  She is grateful to Spirit Catholic Radio for playing a key part in reverting her home to the Catholic Church after a 15-year exile, so Jolene was thrilled to join the Spirit team in October 2017. Her favorite saints include St. Benedict, St. Dominic de Guzman, St. Teresa of Calcutta and St. Bridget of Sweden. Jolene loves the devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows, frequently reflects on Proverbs 3, and her favorite prayer is Radiating Christ.
