In a departure from its usual format, the Spring Theology Institute at Sacred Heart Monastery on Saturday, March 23 will feature a documentary film, created as a rare co-production between the Vatican and Oscar-nominated film director, Wim Wenders. Wenders expressed surprise when approached by the pope’s spokesman, asking if he would be interested in personally interviewing Pope Francis. TThe film weaves together direct interviews with Pope Francis, his teaching on these issues, and background on his chosen namesake, Francis of Assisi. The Theology Institute will take place in the monastery chapter room from 9:00 a.m. to noon, March 23.
