Walking With Mary, Dr. Edward Sri - Broken Bow (8:30 am - 8:30 am)

The theme for the Biennial Convention of Grand Island Diocesan Council of Catholic Women  on Sept. 16th at St. Joseph's Parish Center in Broken Bow, NE  is "WALKING WITH MARY".

Dr. Edward Sri, Associate Professor of Sacred Scripture, Theology, and Catechetic Chancellor from Augustine College will present  "A Biblical Walk With Mary, From Nazareth to the Cross" in the morning where he looks at the crucial passages in the Bible concerning  Mary and offers insight about the Blessed  Mother's faith and devotion that we can apply in our daily lives.

The afternoon session will be "Men, Women and the Mystery of Love" and focuses on John Paul II's insights on women,  men, their marriages and their relationships. The modern world offers a picture of love and marriage that has caused much confusion and heartache in our relationships with the opposite sex.  St. John Paul II spent much of his life reminding us of what true Christian love is and offering a vision for relationships between men and women that is life transforming.  It's also immediately practical for all walks of life:  single people, newly married couples or couples married for over 30 years.

Registration is $15 from 8:30 - 9:30 am Central Daylight time, which includes coffee & rolls & luncheon served by St. Joseph's CCW of Broken Bow.   Priests, Sisters, Brothers, catechists and lay women and men are welcome to attend!  All GIDCCW Parish Representatives are asked to attend as there will be a brief meeting before lunch.  Closing Mass with Installation of new officers will begin at 2:30 pm

Please go to our website at www.gidccw.org for more details or visit our Facebook page at Grand Island DCCW or ask your local DCCW Parish Representative for a flyer that was emailed.   We encourage you to RSVP by September 9th to Susan Johnson, DCCW Treasurer, P.O. Box 222, Cody, NE 69211.
