Divine Mercy Celebration - St. Thomas More, Omaha (11:30 am - 4:00 pm)

 

Divine Mercy Sunday Celebration at St Thomas More Church on April 23.  Exposition at 11:30. Confessionsom 12:30-3pm.  Rosary at 1pm, Divine Mercy Chaplet sung at 2pm, Benediction at 2:30pm, procession at 2:45, and Solemn Mas frs at 3pm.  Celebrant is Fr. Norman Hunke.    Relics of St Pope John Paul II and St Faustina will be on display.

Divine Mercy Sunday-Feast Of Mercy - Grand Island (2:45 pm - 7:00 pm)

 

St. Mary’s Cathedral and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church will jointly celebrate events for the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday  on April 23, 2017.  Start at 2:45 PM with Eucharistic Adoration and the Chaplet at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 518 State Street in Grand Island. Eucharistic Procession  at 330 PM starting from Blessed Sacrament Church and ending at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Bishop Hanefeldt, to participate in the Procession and celebrate Holy Mass starting at 5:00 PM at the Cathedral. 

 

600-700 PM reception and table displays with a light supper at the Cathedral Square with a free will offering.

Science Tests Faith - St. Stephen The Martyr, Omaha (6:30 pm - 9:00 pm)

Do you know someone whose motto is "I will believe it when I see it?"

 St. Stephen the Martyr (16701 S Street, Omaha) will be hosting a presentation on the scientific investigation of three Church miracles on

Saturday, April 22nd and Monday, April 24th at 6:30PM. 

You will see a statue of Christ that bleeds and weeps, a consecrated communion host that appears to have turned into heart tissue, and you will witness a modern day woman experience the wounds of Christ (AKA stigmata). 

This event has the potential to change everything.  You should be there, and you should bring your loved ones.

DCCW Spring Assembly - Halsey, NE (8:00 am - 9:00 am)

The Grand Island Diocesan Council of Catholic Women are holding their Spring Assembly at the 4H camp in the beautiful forest at Halsey NE

on April 28th & 29th, 2017.

Keynote Speaker, Sister Lucy Lukasiewicz from Amarillo Diocese of TX will focus on vocations and forgiveness.  

Heather Hruby and Lisa Pearson from Omaha will speak about Rachel's Vineyard project.

Opening Mass with Bishop Joseph Hanefeldt.

Cost of the weekend is $90 or $50 for one day.

Cathedral Of The Risen Christ Spring Fling - Lincoln (11:30 am - 3:00 pm)

 

The 1st Annual Cathedral of the Risen Christ Spring Fling is set for April 30th from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church basement, school playground and gym.
